Reply to allegations about contradictions in writings of Promised Massih (A.S.)

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Ever Merciful

Dear Readers,

Few days ago, I had received an inquiry from a non-Ahmadi friend who is investigating truths about Ahmadiyyat. It consists of allegations which he had downloaded from Anti-Ahmadiyya Site. It contained two parts, the major one was was regarding alleged contradiction in the writings of Promised Messiah (Mirza Ghulam Ahmad A.S) regarding his obtaining religious knowledge.

In the following passage I am reproducing

  1. Said alleged contradiction.
  2. My Reply to allegation which proved without the shadow of doubt that these Anti-Ahmadiyya campaigners are Liars.
  3. Final comments of Non-Ahmadi Friend on the issue.
 Anti-Ahmadiyya Allegation:

Anti Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam
1st July 2000

Bismillah al-Rehman al-Rehman

Any Qadiani/Ahmadi who prove these quotations wrong a Reward of Rs. 500,000 is offered by Dr. Syed Rashid Ali & (Ex-Ahmadi) Ahtesham-ul-Haq Abdul Bari of Anti Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam

Dear Qadiani/Ahmadi Friends!

Is it not your faith that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani is a truthful person? .... of course it is. Is it not your faith that Mirza Ghulam A Qadiani is the Imam Mahdi whose advent was foretold by Holy Prophet Muhammad SAAW? .... of course it is.

Is it not your faith that Mirza Ghulam A Qadiani's are free of lies and contradictions? .... of course it is.

Do you not have faith in the following writings of Mirza Ghulam?

“The writings of a truthful, intelligent and clear-hearted person never contains contradictions. Yes if someone is mental and lunatic or is such a hypocrite that just to flatter he agrees thoughtlessly, his writings would without doubt become contradictory.” (Sat Bachan, Roohani Khazain vol.10, p.142)

“Any wise and mentally normal person will never contain such two different beliefs.” (Izala-e-Auham, Roohani Khazain vol.3 p.220)

“The writings of a Liar will definitely contain contradictions.” (Zamima Braheen Ahmadiyya part 5, Roohani Khazain vol.21 p.275)

Dear Qadiani/Ahmadi Friends!

Surely you have faith in all the above things. Now we give you a chance to prove how much faith you have on Mirza Ghulam A Qadiani and to prove whether you are on the right path or not. Or is it that you have been taken for a ride? Read the following quotations of Mirza Sahib carefully, read above and below, right and left of them, and make sure that nothing has been taken out of context.

“And the reason for the name ‘Mahdi’ as has been narrated, is this that he will not take knowledge from scholars and will get guidance from God, just as the way God had given guidance to his Prophet Muhammad SAAW, he had taken knowledge and guidance from God only.” (Najm-ul-Huda, Roohani Khazain vol.14 p.90)

“Thus, the coming person was named Mahdi, and there is this hint in it that that coming person will get religious knowledge from God, and will not be a student of any teacher in Quran and Hadith. Thus I say it on OATH that this state is my state. No one can prove that I have studied even a chapter of Quran or Hadith or Tafseer from any human or have been a student of any Mufassir (Commentator of Quran) or Muhaddith (Expert of Hadith). Thus this the Mahdi-hood which I have attained on the pattern of Muhammadi prophethood.” (Ayam-us-Sulh, Roohani Khazain vol.14 p.394)

But on the other hand, he said:

“In childhood, my education was done in this manner that when I was 6,7 years old, a Persian-speaking teacher was appointed for me who taught me Holy Quran and some Persian books and the name of this teacher was Fazal Ilahi. And when my age was about 10 years, then an Arabic teacher was appointed for my education whose name was Fazal Ahmad …… when I reached 17 or 18 years of age, I had the opportunity of recieving education from another Molvi Sahib, his name was Gul Ali Shah.” (Kitab ul Bariyah, Roohani Khazain vol.13 p.180-181)

Dear Qadiani/Ahmadi friends!! Does these writings not prove the lies and contradictions of Mirza Ghulam? Can a Liar be Imam Mahdi AS? Would you still insist that Mirza Ghulam Qadiani Sahib is Imam Mahdi?

From Anti Ahmadiyya Movement, we offer a reward of Rs. 500,000/= (about US$ 10,000/=) cash to the first among you who can prove in any court of law of the world that these quotations are wrong and therefore Mirza Ghulam A Qadiani is Imam Mahdi.

(My e-mail to Non-Ahmadi Friend containing "Reply to above False Allegation")

Dear Brother,

Asalam-o-alaikum,

............Now I would like to comment on the so-called contradictions in the writings of Mirza Sahib (A.S.) regarding his obtaining the RELIGIOUS KNOWLEDGE. Following are the passages which are quoted by Mr. Rashid. In these passages some important lines had been omitted which I have indicated as “Bold and Underlined”. Because without these omissions it would have been difficult or rather impossible for him to twist the facts.

1: “And the reason for the name ‘Mahdi’ as has been narrated, is this that he will not take knowledge from scholars and will get guidance from God, just as the way God had given guidance to his Prophet Muhammad SAAW, he had taken knowledge and guidance from God only.” (Najm-ul-Huda, Roohani Khazain vol.14 p.90)

2: “Thus, the coming person was named Mahdi, and there is this hint in it that that coming person will get religious knowledge from God, and will not be a student of any teacher in Quran and Hadith. Thus I say it on OATH that this state is my state. No one can prove that I have studied even a chapter of Quran or Hadith or Tafseer from any human or have been a student of any Mufassir (Commentator of Quran) or Muhaddith (Expert of Hadith). Thus this the Mahdi-hood which I have attained on the pattern of Muhammadi prophethood. And secrets (i.e in-depth understanding) of religion have been unveiled to me directly (i.e without the help of worldly resources)” (Ayam-us-Sulh, Roohani Khazain vol.14 p.394)

In the above two passages the author meant to deny that :

  1. He has not obtained RELIGIOUS KNOWLEDGE from SCHOLARS.
  2. He has not studied Quran from any MUFASSIR (Commentator of Quran)
  3. He had not studied Hadith from any MUHADDITH (Expert of Hadith)
  4. The SECRETS of religion (the word "Asrar-e-Deen" is used which also contain the meaning of "In-depth Understanding") which he had presented to world were not the result of his being student of any SCHOLAR. Note: This point (i.e. # 4) also describe the spirit of points 2 & 3 above and thus were intentionally omitted by Mr. Rashid.

To summarize, it is to say that the "In-depth and True understanding" of Quran and Hadith which the author has presented to the world, were gifted to him by Allah and that it was not a result of being student of any Scholars or Experts of Quran and Hadith.

Let's now examine the other quotation which, in Mr. Rashid's opinion contradicts the above two passages.

But on the other hand, he said:

“In childhood, my education was done in this manner that when I was 6,7 years old, a persian-speaking teacher was appointed for me who taught me Holy Quran and some persian books and the name of this teacher was Fazal Ilahi. And when my age was about 10 years, then an Arabic teacher was appointed for my education whose name was Fazal Ahmad ....... From him I read some books and the grammar. When I reached 17 or 18 years of age, I had the opportunity of receiving education from another Molvi Sahib, his name was Gul Ali Shah....... From this lastly mentioned Molvi Sahib I studied grammar and logic and Herbal Medicine (Hikmat).” (Kitab ul Bariyah, Roohani Khazain vol.13 p.180-181)

In the passage above what the author admitted is :

  1. At the age of 6 or 7 a teacher was appointed to teach him Quran and some persian books. It is very clear that at the age of 6 or 7 said teacher would have taught him only simple reading (Nazarah) of Quran and not Scholarly Commentaries (Tafaseer) of Quran or in other words in-depth knowledge and secrets of Quran which he had claimed to receive from Allah directly.
  2. At the age of 10 another teacher taught him some books and the grammar. Note: Here again Mr. Rashid has intentionally hide the fact that the teacher at the age of 10 did not taught him Quran or Hadith. He has done this by omitting the Bold and Underline sentence from the quote above which clearly says that this teacher taught some books and the grammar only. And without the "Bold and Underline" sentence above which Rashid had omitted, it appear that this teacher also taught him Quran which is totally against the facts.
  3. At the age of 17 or 18 he was taught grammar, logic and herbal medicine (Hikmat). Note: Here again Mr. Rashid had omitted the subjects which Mirza Sahib (A.S.) was taught at the age of 17 or 18. Not only that but by omitting "Bold and Underline" sentence he had once again tried to give false impression that Mirza Sahib (A.S.) was again taught Quran And Hadith at the age of 17 or 18.

The second passage clearly indicate that :

  1. As far as QURAN, HADITH or RELIGIOUS knowledge is concerned, Mirza Sahib (A.S.) only taught Simple Reading of Quran at the age of 6 or 7.
  2. He never remained a regular student of any institution or even Regular student of some RELIGIOUS SCHOLAR/MUHADDITH.
  3. His education was irregular and only occasional.

There is (and was) None in this universe who has/had not received any sort of knowledge from other human beings. Lap of the mother is called the first institution for a child. And every child receives the very basic knowledge from his/her mother. And even Prophets are not exceptional in this regard. It is the In-depth Knowledge regarding Allah and Religion which the Prophets receives from Allah directly. And their receiving this knowledge direct from Allah is very evident and beyond the shadow of doubt because they talk about such things that the Scholars of that time have not even imagined those subjects. And so all of them become enemy of the Prophet of the time. Just one example, that at the time when so-called Scholars of Islam were preaching about bodily life of Jesus in heavens it was Mirza Sahib (A.S.) who received indefeatable arguments from Allah regarding demise of Jesus. And said arguments were so evident from Quran, hadith, Bible and history that his opponent Scholars could not deny said arguments. So instead of facing these scholarly issues they started playing with irrelevant cut and paste of his writings and so creating totally false impression of him on ordinary people.

Have you noticed that how these habitual liars have intentionally omitted some important line from the quotations of the Promised Messiah (A.S) so that they may present totally false picture of the fact and misguide the masses.??.

Wasalam,

Your Brother.

(e-mail of Non-Ahmadi Friend containing his comments)

Dear Brother,

Assalam-o-alaikum,

I have received your previous e-mails. I am surprised to see that the lines were been omitted from the real essay (regarding "QUESTION"). I will also see the real lines myself in Rhoohan-i-khazain whenever i meet you......
